Luca Ferrario is a Freelance Anticonventional designer from Milan, Italy.
His projects spans in all fields of graphic design. These fieldsa are editorial, illustration, identity, poster, art direction, photography and generative design. Moreover, he expecially loves starting projects with people outside those fields, like scientists, artists, philosophers. Most importantly, anticonventional is a neologism inspired by MIT “antidisciplinary” approach. This approach is a new paradigm set in between known disciplines. In design, this means to sneak through trends, giving life to new and unpredictable visual worlds.
In projects such as Io Sono Scienza, UPGRADE graphic design, or posters like Shakyamuni and a Brief History of Particles Zoo, this approach is clearly visible. The blend of scientific themes, graphics, visuals, datas, history and fantasy is the center of all these works. Psychedelic voids, photographic experimentations, passion for travel, love for animals, crazy references, punk attitude, music, metal and hardcore, playing shows and creating their print materials, using ink to doodle and practice calligraphy, are all at the top of Luca Ferrario’s “best things in life” list.
